The reasons are many. For example:
- It lets you see your progress over time.
- Having your workouts "exposed" can act as a motivator to keep training regularly.
- It provides an interactive medium for others to give you encouragement, constructive criticism or to trigger discussion from.
- Searching on-line for a particular exercise or comment that you have posted is much easier to do than hunting through entries written in a bunch of notebooks.
- You can add pictures (small ones) and links, say, to sites describing a particular exercise, workout, video clips etc.
- When you've achieved something you are particularly proud of, it lets you share your pride with others.
